Calculus students! This course is formulated for students who have had no prior experience in calculus, who want to learn more or just prepare for the AP Exam! As a 5 scorer who definitely struggled a lot during the course, I will be sharing all the tips and tricks that the AP Exam looks for and things that I wish I knew when I took the class!

Derivatives of Inverse Functions

Starts

In this session, we’ll go over how to find the derivatives of inverse functions.

We’ll use the formula for the derivative of an inverse, connect it to implicit differentiation, and apply it to a variety of problems.

In this series, we will cover all of integration from AP Calculus AB/BC, including the definition in terms of Riemann sums, the fundamental theorem of calculus, and evaluating basic integrals including polynomials (that is, the reverse power rule), and exponential functions.

Then, we will introduce u-substitution, which is essentially the reverse chain rule, and integration by parts, which is the reverse product rule.

Lastly, we end with looking at improper integration!

The People's Guide to Calculus

Starts

What comes to mind when you hear the word "calculus"?

For many people, calculus is often associated with difficulty and despair. Perhaps fairly so; indeed, calculus is notorious for being a class that is hard to understand and easy to fall behind in.

But it doesn't need to be.

My name is George Hartman, and I’ve scored a 5 on both the AP Calculus AB and BC exams. In this course, I aim to challenge the notion that calculus is only for the geniuses among us. By connecting complex concepts to simple ideas and supplementing each new topic with an engaging video or activity, I plan to not only teach you as much as I can about all things calculus, but also to provide you with a fun and interesting experience while doing so. And after each session, it's my hope that you'll walk away feeling just a little bit smarter and more capable.

This 9-week course will focus on the core components of the AP Calculus AB curriculum. Each of the first 8 weeks will be devoted to a unit of Calculus AB, and we will advance through the units sequentially. In week 9, we will learn about a few foundational Calculus BC concepts.

This course is intended to be fun and approachable for all skill levels, from struggling student to top-of-the-class

I can't wait to help make calculus into an engaging and accessible subject for you!
