It's a highly engaging 6-week course on Algebra 2! We will cover all of the topics and work on a big range of different problems, from easy to hard ones.☺️

The sessions will be for an hour and a half, with the first forty minutes dedicated to a lecture and all major concepts. For the next ten minutes you'll have a break, and then another forty minutes will be spent solving problems on an interactive board. Be ready to get engaged, as practice is the best teacher!

Hi, my name is Haritha and I am a current junior in high school! I earned an A+ in Algebra 2 in my freshman year of high school, and I want to help you do the same.

This session, we'll be going over all the basics related to polynomials: factoring, graphing, and dividing them. These concepts are foundational to everything else you'll cover in Algebra 2, so it's really important that you truly understand how to work with polynomials! I can't wait to meet everyone :)

Rational exponents and radicals: road to 100%

2nd session

Over the next four weeks, we will meet semi-weekly—on Mondays and Fridays—to go over everything you need to know about rational exponents and radicals to achieve a 100% score on the Khan Academy Unit test. We will cover rational exponents and their properties, evaluating exponents and radicals, equivalent forms of exponential expressions, and solving exponential equations using properties of exponents. We will also have additional sessions some Tuesdays and Thursdays to review what we have previously learned in the series.
Sessions are relatively slow-paced.

Algebra II Help

2nd session

This is my first session! This session will not go over algebra II systematically, but we could choose the topics that you struggled on the most. Alternatively, we can have discussion sessions where you and I could bring some questions to the session and we will go over them together😁.

Please note that I try to make this session suit the learner, you, so the time of the sessions depends on your choice! If you enrolled and saw a session that you don't have interest in, feel free to not attend. If you don't have time to attend a session and still want to learn something, DM me and I can (hopefully) make another session for you!

Hello! I'm Dean, an experienced tutor in Geometry, Algebra, and Precalc with 20+ hours of tutoring experience!

This course is designed to be an immersive, detailed look into trigonometry for Algebra 2 AND Precalculus . The discrepancy in the courses is not the content, but rather the specific standards of your Alg 2 or Precalc course (e.g. some classes include Trig as a part of Alg 2, while others include it as Precalc).

It is highly recommended that you have a knowledge of trigonometry from Geometry - this includes basic trig ratios (sin/cos/tan), trig inverses, special right triangles, and how to solve basic trig equations.

This is designed to be an isolated course from all other required Alg 2/Precal concepts, so we will not cover those topics, only the trigonometry topics.

This course will be in high amounts of detail. We will cover all trigonometric topics in high detail and a high level of rigor -- thus why I separated this into an 8-week course instead of incorporating it with an Alg 2 session. We'll get a rock-solid foundation in Trigonometry -- expect to be challenged.

[From an 3x AIME Qualifier] AMC 10 Review

11th session

In this course, we will be going over AMC 8, 10, 12, and AIME content.

Why should you take this course?

Although not necessary for school math, the methods taught in this class can be very beneficial in solving problems in a "smarter" way. This class will teach you tips and tricks schools tend to not teach. From my personal experience, competition math has made school math very easy and offers me much more insight into understanding concepts.

Additionally, competition math can be very helpful in boosting your resume for high school and college. Many of the top schools like MIT ask specifically for your AMC scores, so it will make you stand out from other students.

What will we learn in this course?

The best way to get better at competition math is to do problems, especially those of past AMC tests. While going over past problems, we will spend time learning about the four different categories in math: Algebra, Number Theory, Geometry, and Counting & Probability.

This course will be designed to give you better intuition for AMC problems as well as teach you new formulas and strategies.

How will the classes operate?

A normal class will be a 90-minute session. It is not helpful to listen to me explain solutions for 90 minutes, nor is it helpful to solve just problems for 90 minutes. So, I will give you a few minutes of time to attempt the problem and then we will go over the problem together.
