About

In this 10-part intensive series, we will move beyond the headlines to conduct a chronological, deep-dive analysis of the 24 hours of September 11, 2001. We will use primary sources, including Air Traffic Control transcripts, the 9/11 Commission Report, and real-time news archives, to understand how the day unfolded from the early morning hours to the late-night address to the nation.

Learners should expect an interactive seminar-style environment. Each session will involve a brief lecture on the specific timeline, followed by group analysis of maps, communication logs, and the immediate geopolitical ripples. We will focus on historical accuracy, the evolution of aviation security, and the human stories of resilience.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Guideline: This is a 10-part intensive historical series. To maintain the continuity of our chronological deep-dive, please adhere to the following:

* Consistency is Key: Because each session builds directly on the previous hour’s timeline, learners are expected to attend at least 8 out of the 10 sessions.

* Communication: If you know you will miss a session due to an emergency, please message me at least 2 hours in advance.

* Punctuality: We will begin the timeline analysis promptly at the start of the hour. Learners arriving more than 15 minutes late may find it difficult to catch up with the specific window being discussed.

* Withdrawal: Students who miss more than two sessions without communication may be withdrawn to make room for those on the waitlist.
