About

Over the course of several weeks, I plan to host an interactive Algebra 2 study group focused on strengthening core concepts such as quadratics, polynomials, exponential and logarithmic functions, and rational expressions. Each session will include brief concept reviews, guided problem solving, and collaborative practice to reinforce understanding. Rather than a lecture style format, learners will actively engage by working through problems in pairs or small groups, explaining their reasoning, asking questions, and participating in mini practice assessments. The goal is to build both conceptual mastery and confidence while creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable strengthening their math skills.

In Session 1, I plan to focus on reviewing quadratic equations to build a strong foundation for the rest of the study group. We will begin with a short warm-up to assess prior knowledge, then review the main methods for solving quadratics, including factoring, completing the square, and using the quadratic formula. I will also cover how to graph quadratic functions by identifying the vertex, axis of symmetry, and direction of opening. The session will include guided examples and collaborative practice so students can actively engage, ask questions, and strengthen both their understanding and confidence.
