Hi, my name is Rastin, and I’m excited to help you prep for the SAT! I’ll keep things clear, chill, and focused—so you actually understand the strategies and improve fast.

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

🛸 Get to know me ... Im a student tutor who loves to keep things simple. I scored a 1520 on the SAT (790 Math, 730 Reading & Writing), so I’m comfortable teaching the proper test-taking skills (smart pacing, pattern recognition, and staying calm under time pressure). 🌟 I also self studied my way to a 5 on both the AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics exams; I know what it’s like to build a score and a study system from scratch, and ways to truly find success with your academics. ☄️ 🚀 Outside of tutoring, I love storytelling, movies, tennis, and golden retrievers.

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

This will be a supersession. You’ll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will wrap up with a Post-Test to help you see your progress from the first session. Then we’ll spend time reviewing the post-test and all of the previous Focus Skills we covered together. To end the session (and the bootcamp!), we’ll wrap up everything and provide some final words of advice!
