About

Come explore the fascinating, and challenging, world of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice (DEIBJ) with me. My name is David, and I am an DEIBJ advocate as well as a global leader for a Fortune 500 Employee Resource Group (ERG, more on these in our series!), and together we'll learn about what DEIBJ are, as well as some of the challenges to each around the world. Bring your respect and an open mind.
-	For the topics we will discuss, we all have different views, lived experiences, etc., and so differences of opinion and even disagreements should be expected and are perfectly fine; however, we will proceed always with respect and with a mind toward listening to each other and learning from one another. This extends to my own viewpoints as well – I should be seen as a facilitator here and not the arbiter of absolute truth.
-	These topics and work I ask you to do will challenge you, but if you engage with and complete you will almost certainly learn some important things about yourself and how you can grow.

Your attendance is appreciated and encouraged, but not required. However, note that I will not be backtracking to review previous sessions at this time, though may host another version of this series in the future.

About the Tutor

I am an experienced business professional with experience in DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging), Sales, Project Management, New Product Development, Supply Chain, and Planning, as well as a former math teacher (2016-2019), a long-time Khan Academy user (profile name Dayvyd), a Khan Academy Ambassador (2019-2023), and an avid lifelong learner. Some of my certifications include: Master of Education in Math Instruction; Project Management Professional (PMP); Harvard Business School Credential of Readiness (CORe); and Texas certified math teacher, grades 4-12 (roughly arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and calculus). I am excited to help in any way I can with this great project to help learners around the world! Look forward to working with y'all =)
