About

Hi, I'm Kristin, and I'll be happy to have you in my SAT R&W Bootcamp! Along with preparing you with sentence structures and practice problems, I'll incorporate your needs and weak points into our sessions to maximize your potential for your upcoming SAT!

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

Hi! I'm Kristin, a high school student from California. I know how overwhelming SAT prep can feel, so I will focus on making sessions approachable, organized, and easygoing. When taking my first SAT, I struggled on finding a way to study, but after experimenting and figuring out what works for me, I believe I can help you find strategies that work for you, too! I scored a 1540 on the SAT on my second attempt, with my best Math score being 800 and my best Reading & Writing score being 760. When I'm not doing homework, I like to draw, play video games, or play with my cat! Her name is S'more :)

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You’ll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will wrap up with a Post-Test to help you see your progress from the first session.
