Build your pattern skills step by step! In this 4-week course, learners will identify, describe, and create number and shape patterns. Each week includes interactive activities and optional homework to reinforce learning.

Note: We’ll take a short break for the holidays on Dec 23 & Dec 30 and resume on Jan 6.

In this session, learners will explore what patterns are and how to recognize them in numbers, shapes, and everyday objects. They will also practice describing patterns in their own words.

This session focuses on number patterns. Learners will practice adding and subtracting sequences, skip counting, and writing rules in words or numbers (“Start at __, add/subtract __ each time”).

Learners will tackle alternating patterns (e.g., red, blue, red) and growing patterns (numbers or objects increasing step by step). They will also learn to identify mistakes in patterns and create simple challenge patterns for classmates.
