About

Hi, my name is Cathy, and I’m really excited to help you get ready for the SAT Math section! I’ve been studying advanced math for years, including AP Calculus and physics competitions like F=ma and PhysicsBowl, and I’ve spent a lot of time helping my classmates understand tricky concepts and problem-solving strategies. I love breaking down hard questions into simple ideas and showing students how to think like the test makers.

This four-week tutoring series will guide you through everything you need for SAT Math from algebra and functions to geometry, statistics, and the more challenging modeling and word-problem skills. By the end of the series, you’ll have completed multiple practice sets and gone over real SAT-style problems, helping you build confidence and speed before test day.

You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of learners who share your goals. Because it’s a small group, our sessions will be interactive, supportive, and focused on making sure everyone understands not just how to solve problems, but why the methods work. My goal is to help you master the math, stay calm under pressure, and walk into the SAT knowing you’re ready.

Hey! I’m a high school student who loves STEM, especially physics and programming. I joined Schoolhouse to improve, get inspired, and help others when I can. Outside of studying, I enjoy music, robotics, and exploring new ideas.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You’ll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will wrap up with a Post-Test to help you see your progress from the first session.

We’ll spend time reviewing the post-test and all of the previous Focus Skills we covered together. To end the session (and the bootcamp!), we’ll wrap up everything and provide some final words of advice!
