In this five session series, we will be working on YOU writing your first book ever (I'll be working on my book as well throughout these sessions). But in this first session, we will be getting our creative juices flowing which includes creative writing prompts to brainstorming book ideas (fantasy, mystery, romance, etc). You won't want to miss the next session...planning the plot outline for your book (figuring out the conflict or who the characters will be).

In this second session of our five session series, we will be planning an outline for our book. We have to figure out how the book is going to go in order to write it, right? This is a pretty fun session because we'll get to make up names for our characters and decide who's going to be the main character of the novel (will he/she be based off of you?... I don't know but we'll figure it out) ;)

The third session..EEEK! First of all, thank you all for showing up and working so hard. Now after we have planned our book, guess what....we will begin writing the introduction. And did you all know that the introduction is the MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR NOVEL! Why?- you may ask.
Well, if you think about it, how do people even pick a book to choose and why do they stick with it.? Well, if you're me or my mom, you judge the book by its cover. If you are another type of person, you look at the synopsis of the book and...the first page. So, we will be working on the introduction/Chapter 1 of your book.

Are you ready for the fourth session....I don't think that you are. Guess what? This session will literally just be a free writing session and time for you to set out to write in your book. Many people have so many great ideas but they never have the time for it. Maybe you're busy with homework or Tiktok (it's okay to admit it). Well, we will dedicate this time to your book. Hey, I'll even be working on my own book.

Sadly, this is our last session- it doesn't have to be though if you don't want it to be (I may create more sessions for our group). In our final session, we will be checking in with each other and our writing progress. And we will also be discussing what to do when we finish writing our book. We will have to edit the book and maybe even publish the book (yes, you can self-publish your book). We have worked so hard to start writing our book and will have to keep the motivation and dedication as we move along in our journey to becoming an author.
