Glow Up 101 is a fun, relaxed tutoring session where we can learn real-life personal care skills — from skincare and hygiene to confidence and style. It’s about feeling fresh, confident, and ready for anything — not about makeup or looks, but about taking care of yourself. Session 1 – Skin Care & Hygiene Basics. Session 2 – Hair, Nails, and Self-Grooming. Session 3 – Confidence, Self-Care & Body Positivity

Hi! I’m Maeva, a high school sophomore taking AP Environmental Science and AP Calculus. I’m always pushing myself academically and will be attending a college prep high school next year. I’m also preparing for the SAT in October, which I’m super focused on. When I’m not studying, you can usually find me at the barn caring for my horses, chickens, and cows — animals are a huge part of my life and have taught me a lot about responsibility and patience. I’m also really passionate about personal care, hygiene, and self-confidence. I absolutely love K-dramas and the Asian heritage!

In this session, we’ll go beyond looks and talk about how personal care connects to confidence and mental health. You’ll learn simple ways to take care of your mind and body — from getting good sleep and staying hydrated to managing stress and building self-love.

We’ll also have honest conversations about body image, comparison, and how social media can affect how we see ourselves. Everyone deserves to feel confident in their own skin, and this session will help you find what makes you feel your best.

By the end, you’ll create your own self-care plan and write a positive note to your future self as a reminder of your worth.

What We’ll Cover:

The connection between self-care and confidence

Daily habits for feeling your best (sleep, mindset, hydration, etc.)

Understanding body positivity and social media pressure

Dealing with insecurities in a healthy way

Creating a personal self-care plan + positive affirmation activity
