About

Hello! My name is Anna P and I'm excited to help you with the english section of the SAT! I have already tutored a math SAT bootcamp so I am very familiar with the schoolhouse platform. I'm also a high school junior in SC and have taken 3 SATs so far so I am very committed to understanding all parts of these questions. One of my main priorities is communication and answering all questions. I'm always willing to record specific videos outside of our tutoring session for problems that need extra attention. I am so excited to help other students be more prepared!

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Hello! I’m a high school student from South Carolina. Some of my favorite things to do in my free time are playing volleyball, running, playing soccer, participating in Speech and Debate, and designing Vex robots. Academically, my favorite subjects are math and science but I love English and history too!

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

We’ll begin with group practice of a Focus Skill in the Standard English Conventions Domain. Then, we will work through a shortened practice exam and review questions you’d like to go over.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You’ll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will wrap up with a Post-Test to help you see your progress from the first session.

We’ll spend time reviewing the post-test and all of the previous Focus Skills we covered together. To end the session (and the bootcamp!), we’ll wrap up everything and provide some final words of advice!
