Week 1: Introduction & Script
Introduction to Tamil and its cultural background.

Learn and practice the 12 Tamil vowels.

Learn basic greetings and polite phrases.

Practice listening and pronouncing vowels.

Week 2: Consonants & Simple Words
Learn and practice the 18 consonants.

Combine vowels and consonants to make syllables.

Practice common nouns and numbers 1–10.

Learn names of days and colors.

Week 3: Building Simple Sentences
Practice syllable combinations in writing and speech.

Formulate basic self-introductions and questions.

Use learned vocabulary in basic sentences.

Week 4: Family & Everyday Vocabulary
Learn words for family members and everyday objects.

Practice describing family and professions.

Introduce basic sentence structure (Subject-Object-Verb).

Week 5: Verbs & Present Tense
Introduction to Tamil verbs and present tense conjugation.

Practice using verbs in everyday activities.

Build sentences about actions—eat, go, see, speak.

Week 6: Daily Life Communication
Expand vocabulary for topics like food, home, and school.

Practice making requests and talking about routines.

Do listening exercises with simple Tamil dialogues.

Week 7: Pronouns & Descriptions
Learn Tamil pronouns (I, you, he, she, we, they).

Introduce adjectives to describe people and objects.

Practice reading and translation of basic sentences.

Week 8: Tenses & Conversation
Introduction to past and future tense patterns.

Use different tenses in conversations (I went, I will go).

Practice paragraph writing about daily activities.

Week 9: Reading & Writing Practice
Read simple stories or text passages in Tamil.

Practice copying and constructing sentences or short descriptions.

Expand vocabulary (animals, body parts, places).

Week 10: Review & Real-Life Scenarios
Review grammar and vocabulary from previous weeks.

Practice real-life conversations (shopping, travel, introductions).

Assess progress through listening, reading, and writing exercises.

At the end of ten weeks, a learner should be able to read and write basic Tamil, understand simple spoken language, and conduct elementary conversations on familiar topics.
