About

Hi everyone, I’m Vincent, and I’m excited to help you prepare for the SAT! I’ve had my own uphill battle with the R&W section, but along the way I’ve learned helpful tips and insights I’m looking forward to sharing.
This is four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Hi, I’m Vince! I’m joining Schoolhouse to give back to students who are working hard to reach their goals. just like I did. I know what it feels like to struggle with standardized tests, and I’ve spent the past year dedicated to improving and helping others do the same. I’m passionate about learning, mentorship, and making education more accessible. Outside of tutoring, I’m deeply interested in cybersecurity, public speaking, and building a meaningful future through purpose-driven work. I’m excited to support other students on their SAT journey and to grow alongside this incredible community!

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

We’ll begin with group practice of a Focus Skill in the Standard English Conventions Domain. Then, we will work through a shortened practice exam and review questions you’d like to go over.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You’ll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will wrap up with a Post-Test to help you see your progress from the first session.

We’ll spend time reviewing the post-test and all of the previous Focus Skills we covered together. To end the session (and the bootcamp!), we’ll wrap up everything and provide some final words of advice!
