About

Hi! My name's Christina and I’m a senior from the Washington DC area. I definitely blame my 4th grade teacher for not properly preparing me for the comma splices and tricky grammar I encounter on the SAT. Thankfully, grammar is one of the easiest sections once you're actually taught the grammar rules. I also host a Math SAT Bootcamp session that you should check out!

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

I’m a HS senior from the Washington DC area, currently enrolled in both a general high school and a technical high school—think of a technical school like a trade school. I attend with a focus on IT and cybersecurity, earning certifications (CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+) and college credit! A big part of my identity comes from growing up in an activist culture. When I was in 2nd grade, around age 7, I began forming opinions about "taboo" subjects. By the time I reached middle school, I was already attending walkouts and protests. As a high schooler, I volunteer my skills and time for causes I support. Throughout each stage, I grew less afraid to speak my mind, because if someone doesn't agree with the values I hold highly, then we weren't meant to be friends anyway.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.
