♟️I’m a senior at a public high school in Georgia. When I’m not studying, I’m usually playing chess or swimming. In chess, I’m a USCF National Master; in swimming, I’m a GHSA state swimmer (~23s 50 free). I like to read pop-science, especially economics and psychology, and I stay involved at school as a president of two organizations. I also participate in outside volunteer and career-development organizations in various roles. 🎓My Academic Background: SAT: 1540 (790M, 750 RW); self-study APs:14 | IBs: 3 ✏️My Tutoring Approach I like to deliver as much as I can in session time, so most of my sessions are dense in information. I am also fond of a no-bs type approach, being pragmatic and practical. I take 1.5-2 hours to prepare for each session, so you can expect quality content. 🎯How to Get the Most from My Sessions Take notes to lock in what you learn. Remove distractions so you can focus. Bring test-day effort: be ready to think like you would on the exam. Hope you find my sessions helpful. <3

In this session, we will be discussing Tariffs & Global Trade and using this discussion guide: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ykoyNX6iIyh-AeQA3KDOEJwB78yVv5yz/view?usp=sharing.

Topic Overview
Tariffs are taxes placed on goods imported from other countries. Governments use them
for a variety of reasons: to protect local industries, respond to unfair trade practices, or
raise revenue. Global trade refers to the exchange of goods and services across
international borders. Today’s global economy is shaped by trade agreements, supply
chains that span continents, and debates over how open or protected national
economies should be.
Supporters of free trade argue that it encourages innovation, lowers prices, and
strengthens international cooperation. Advocates for tariffs and protectionist policies say
they help protect domestic workers and industries from unfair foreign competition. The
debate often involves balancing economic growth with national interests, fairness with
efficiency, and local jobs with global competition.

In this session, we will be discussing Improving the Economy and using this discussion guide: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MZRIG8OzOU-Wi8sgKrkZ0PbjHhEIrADX/view?usp=sharing.

Topic
What do you think is the biggest barrier to economic prosperity in your country?
● Too many regulations preventing healthy economic competition: The cost of
living and the costs of starting businesses are too high because the government
has implemented too many economic regulations that stifle innovation while
benefiting powerful corporate interests.
● Not enough protections for the working class: The working class is suffering and
inequality is growing because the government isn’t providing a sufficient social
safety net and isn’t investing in the local economy through tariffs, unions, and
other investments.
● Neutral or Undecided.

In this session, we will be discussing Economic Development and using this discussion guide: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jcbWMfKl4BKVwWW4KMxnmhylJLIMdBLo/view?usp=sharing.

Topic Overview
Economic development refers to efforts that improve the quality of life and economic
well-being of people in a region—typically by increasing income, expanding access to
services, and creating opportunities for growth. It can include building infrastructure,
investing in education, supporting local businesses, attracting foreign investment, or
developing industries like technology, agriculture, or tourism.
But economic development is not just about growth. It also raises important questions
about fairness, sustainability, culture, and power. Who benefits from development? What
trade-offs are involved? And how should communities, governments, and global
institutions make decisions about what kind of economic future to pursue?

In this session, we will be discussing Government Efficiency and using this discussion guide:https://drive.google.com/file/d/11IyQdjdCuY95uI9ZMmKFsNC__4uNmKGy/view?usp=sharing.

Topic Overview
In 2025, the United States established a new federal agency: the Department of
Government Efficiency. Its mission is to reduce waste, streamline bureaucratic processes,
improve public service delivery, and increase accountability in how government
programs operate. Supporters argue that it marks a promising step toward a more
effective, responsive government. Critics argue that it could do more harm than good by
undermining existing public institutions and creating political cover for cuts to essential
services under the guise of 'efficiency.'

While this department is new in the U.S., the topic of government efficiency is global.
Around the world, citizens regularly debate whether their governments are effective,
bloated, under-resourced, or overly complex. Discussions often focus on how to balance
speed and transparency, reduce red tape without cutting essential services, and ensure
that taxpayer money is used wisely.
