About
Hey guys! After receiving a considerable number of requests to host an Algebra series after my recent Geometry w/Trig, I decided to do it! :)
Once again, we're going to start from the very beginning of Algebra up to Algebra 1. By the end of the series you will be familiar with...
- Single/Multi-varied equations and how to solve them
- Rates, Percentages, and Ratios (as well as basic rational equations and how to solve them)
-Linear Functions/systems of equations w/Inequalities
-Functions (domain, codomain, range, inverse, composite, transformations)
-Absolute and pice-wise equations
- Exponentials (properties of and functions)
-Factoring basic polynomials/quadratics
-Forms of quadratics/solving quadratic equations
-Complex Numbers
-Sequences (arithmetic and geometric).
Each session is an hour to an hour and a half. We will have sessions each Monday and Wedsnday.
At the end of each session we will test our knowledge with a Quizz.
All of my sessions have slides that I share with learners, along with quizlets and relate resources.
Homework is optional but recommended and we go over it at the beginning of each session briefly.
All of the resources (slides, homeworks, etc. is organized on a google sites which I share with everyone).
You can always join even after the series has begun, I'm always open to hosting catch-up sessions :)

Attendance is optional considering time contraints that learners may face as well as the fact that sometimes learners are already familiar with the topic a given session is covering (though review is always helpful)! But please let me know you will be absent beforehand, thanks!

A little about me: I'm about the biggest Indie fan there is, I almost exclusively watch (John Hughes>>) 80s movies or the upcoming Star Wars series, and I read sci-fi in my spare time. I tutor for the sake of those aha moments, and have taken Multivariable Calc, Linear Algebra, Real Analysis, and Complex Analysis. Who knows what I'll tutor next, hope to see you soon.

Solving equations & inequalities
Hey guys, today we'll begin Pre-Algebra.
We'll cover:
- Variables and strategies for solving single and multi-varied equations.
We'll go over the content on the slides, practice and ask questions, discuss and then finish off with a quizziz! We'll also begin with a series orientation and icebreaker :)

After we're going to be doing some exercises determining each for different functions. We're also going to be discussing different techniques for determining the domain and range of functions. Hey guys, today we're going to learn about inverse functions: what they are, how to find whether functions are invertible and if so, how derive them. We're going to do some practice; inverse functions are something which are going to reappear throughout algebra.

Hey guys, today we'll go over absolute-value arithmetic and some cool tricks to avoid using absolute value in your equations (to make it simpler). Then we'll derive the properties of absolute value functions. Then, we'll go over pice-wise functions and graphs as well. Then, we'll go over FOIL and how to expand factored polynomials.

today we'll learn about The Zero Product Property and how to solve quadratic equations by factoring. We'll also learn about the quadratic formula and apply it. Then, we'll go over completing the square and vertex form.
