About

In this comprehensive course, we'll take a basic view of each IB Math AA HL topic, and go through about 60% of what is covered in DP1. The aim is to prepare for the demanding stuff covered, but also can be quite useful for those who are starting DP2 next year and need a refresher. See you there!

9th-grader happy to help you with 𝕄𝕒𝕥𝕙, from Algebra I to AP Calculus BC :D I can teach IB Math Analysis and Approaches at HL, and A-Level Further Maths too :) I LOVE TUTORING as much as I love math, and the perfect moment for me is when my learners finally have a concept *click* for them :) I don't know what I'd do without math, and I don't know why I didn't find Schoolhouse earlier, but I'm always glad to help!! My teaching style goes something like this: - ask questions about how the learner sees the topic, getting to know their relationship with math better - start with small, simple examples from each key topic, building important skills and most importantly making sure they understand how, why and where we use the skills - continue with discussions on each skill with intermediate-level questions that are still not as hard as the standard that the learner wants to achieve, but will give the learner a place to practice applying the concepts to master them. - ask critical questions that extend their thinking (my favorite part!!!) - have them solve their required standard of questions :D

SESSION 2

Series

Series

Tue 10:30 AM - 11:50 AM UTCAug 5, 10:30 AM - 11:50 AM UTC

We'll apply what we've learned about arithmetic and geometric series to real life with IB sample questions!
We'll also work through some of the harder IB sample questions together.

SESSION 3

Polynomials

Polynomials

Thu 10:15 AM - 11:35 AM UTCAug 7, 10:15 AM - 11:35 AM UTC

A complete introduction to functions and set notation. We will be learning about how functions work with their inputs to produce outputs! We'll also examine how we find inverses of one function, and composition of two functions. We'll also learn about what the domain and range means, and of course how all of this translates to the graphs!

General Pre-Calculus Q&A

General Pre-Calculus Q&A

Fri 10:30 AM - 11:45 AM UTCAug 8, 10:30 AM - 11:45 AM UTC

We'll do a complete revision of the coordinate system and making useful observations about points and line segments. We will find the distance between two points, the midpoint of a line segment, and the areas of triangles bounded by points, with IB sample questions.
