This dynamic 3-week course invites learners to explore the heart of Jamaican expression through its vibrant Creole language—often called Patois. Designed for beginners, the course offers a deep yet accessible dive into the origins, structure, and everyday use of Jamaican Creole while celebrating the island’s unique cultural identity.

Participants will learn basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence structures to engage in real-life conversations and appreciate the nuances of code-switching between English and Creole. Through music, proverbs, roleplays, and storytelling, learners will gain an authentic understanding of how language reflects the soul of Jamaican life.
