About

Note: This class is meant for native Chakma speakers seeking to learn English.
Each week, we'll start with English tongue twisters to practice pronunciation. Then, we'll read short stories out loud to improve speaking, comprehension, and vocabulary. There will be short writing assignments, which will be reviewed and corrected in class. Class will be wrapped up with conversations in English.

Hello! I'm Annelie, a rising senior from Southern California who loves reading, writing, and listening to Hozier. I achieved an 800 on the Reading & Writing section of the SAT (don't ask me about my math score...). I'm also the Editor-in-Chief of my school newspaper, Public Relations Chairman of my local volunteer organization, and a member of my city's Youth Council. I've previously tutored ESL and essay writing skills, and I'm excited to continue tutoring through Schoolhouse!
