About

My name is Ryan, and I have tutored two other SAT sessions before. As I am taking the SAT myself partway through this session, on the August date, I treat this as a study session for myself as well as you guys and I can directly share experiences with you!

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

I'm a rising senior from Pennsylvania. I enjoy playing the piano and singing in choir settings, I am an avid jazz musician and also participate in my school Marching Band, and I play fighting and rhythm games such as GD, MLBB, HOK, and SF3 Third Strike. Tutoring has boosted my confidence in speaking skills, but I still sometimes struggle to get my thoughts out through a boatload of stutters and I absolutely LOVE to go off on side tangents. One of my core beliefs in tutoring is that a tutor can learn just as much from a student as a student can from a tutor--that the cycle of knowledge goes both ways, and I'm here to encourage that mindset. Additionally, I love nothing more than a student who is not afraid and is able to constructively criticize others, because like I said, a tutor can learn as much from a students as the student can from the tutor. My ultimate goal within this Schoolhouse community is to give back as much as I get, and hopefully become a Coach in the SAT category. (Also, since I am busy with schoolwork and helping my parents with 40 hour workweeks, I will not be doing much outside of the SAT Bootcamp subworld. Besides, I don't like engaging in large scale classes, since I prefer closely-knit ones that allow tutor and student to connect.)

ATTENDANCE POLICY

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.
