About
We will cover 11 units of content, each unit building on the last one and helping prepare students for courses such as AP Precalculus, Trigonometry and Calculus.
This course will be about 14-15 weeks, meaning it may go a little into the school year. We will meet Mondays-Fridays everyday for an hour.
- Unit 1: Functions & Linear Models
- Unit 2: Polynomials & Radicals
- Unit 3: Quadratic Functions
- Unit 4: Polynomial & Radical Functions
- Unit 5: Rational Functions
- Unit 6: Exponential & Logarithmic Functions
- Unit 7: Conic Sections
- Unit 8: Systems of Equations & Matrices
- Unit 9: Statistics & Probability
- Unit 10: Sequences & Series
- Unit 11: Trigonometry
There will be 1-2 quizzes per unit, as well as a cumulative unit test. Additionally, you will take a "semester test" after Unit 6 and a "cumulative test" after Unit 12. These tests are important to see how you have progressed throughout the series, as well as how much content you retained.
Homework/outside practice will be expected to ensure mastery of concepts.
✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY
Content builds, so being there for sessions is crucial! Try not to miss if you can. If you have to miss for any reason, let me know.
