About

Hey guys, my name is Tomás and I'm excited to be your tutor for the next four weeks in SAT Math! I've already taken the SAT with a very solid score, so I have experience with the types of questions the test gives out. In this course, you will be in a small group with other learners also aiming to take the August SAT, and you will be completing various practice tests and as well as exercises from previous SAT tests so you can get the hang of the topics and skills you will need when the time of the exam comes. Gives that it's not a big group, the sessions will be interactive and collaborative, as you will work together and with me, your tutor, to improve said skills in order to succeed at the SAT.

Please note that your camera is expected to be on at all times during our Zoom sessions. If you have any problems with your camera, please notify me before or at the start of the Zoom and we'll manage.

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

We'll start with an orientation to get to know each other. Then, we will work through a shortened practice exam and review questions you'd like to go over. To wrap up the session, we'll go over some testing tips.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You'll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will review questions you'd like to go over and end with group practice of two Focus Skills in the Geometry & Trigonometry Domain.
