About

Curious about the mysteries of quantum physics? This beginner-friendly course - taught to you by a student certified in an Introduction to Quantum Computing course - covers foundational concepts like qubits, quantum gates, wave-particle duality, superposition, entanglement, and more!
No prior knowledge of quantum physics is needed—if you've completed Algebra I, you're good to go. Bring a paper and pen/pencil, and get ready to explore the fascinating world of quantum science!

Hi! I'm Hannah, currently a high school student in North Carolina, and I am so excited to be helping out here! I've joined Schoolhouse to tutor for the SAT, physics, math, and help students improve their test-taking strategies! Outside of tutoring, I love to compete in math and science competitions, play piano, and volunteer. I would love to meet you all, so feel free to reach out!

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Attendance

• To make the most out of our sessions, please try not to miss more than two, as each session builds on the last (and message me if you will be absent or late). However, if you are only interested in certain topics in Quantum Physics, you can pick and choose which sessions you want to join!

Participation

• I understand that not everyone feels comfortable speaking up, and that’s completely okay! Just know that I always encourage participation!

• If you have a question, always ask! As a student myself, I truly believe there’s no such thing as a silly question - especially in quantum physics.

• Use respectful language when communicating with me or your peers or you will be removed from the series.

Bits, Qubits, Superposition, and Quantum State Representations:
Understand how a computer works (with the classical stacks and the quantum stack). Learn about the qubit (which is the quantum equivalent of a classical bit). Grasp the concept of superposition, where quantum particles can exist in multiple states simultaneously. Learn about how to represent quantum states through Ket notation (how we represent qubits with |0⟩ and |1⟩) and the Bloch Sphere.
