About

Each session will focus on a key AP Pre-Calculus topic, beginning with fundamentals and progressing to more advanced concepts. Over the summer, we’ll cover:

Polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions

Trigonometric and polar functions

Modeling with functions in real-world contexts

AP-style problem-solving and test strategies

How You’ll Engage:

I’ll lead each session, starting with a brief concept review of the previous lesson. I will then introduce the new material with guided examples and interactive practice exercises. My teaching style is flexible—feel free to interrupt if something doesn’t make sense, ask questions at any time, or tell me to slow down. I’m always open to adjusting my approach to what works best for you. At the end of each session, I’ll also ask about the topics you'd like to review further, so we can tailor the next session to your needs.

Hi! I'm a junior from Virginia enrolled in a private boarding school in Massachusetts. I am currently taking Multivariable Calculus/Linear Algebra, AP Physics C, and AP Biology. I love watching movies and hanging out with my friends. I am here to help others with writing and STEM!

Schedule

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

To get the most out of these sessions and keep everyone on track, I kindly request that students make every effort to attend all scheduled sessions:

Saturdays, 7:15-8:30 PM EST

Tuesdays, 6-7:15 PM EST

The class runs from July 3 through the end of August.

Expectations:

Please let me know in advance if you are unable to attend a session. Missing more than 3 sessions without notice may result in being withdrawn from the series to keep the group consistent and engaged. If you're running late, just join when you can—it’s better to come late than not at all! Active participation and consistent attendance help me shape lessons around what you need. I understand that summer schedules can be unpredictable, so just keep me updated, and we’ll make it work together!

AP Precalculus

AP Precalculus

Wed 4:30 AM - 5:30 AM UTCJun 25, 4:30 AM - 5:30 AM UTC

For my first online AP Pre-Calculus tutoring session, I plan to begin by asking my student(s) which topics they find most difficult and what they remember from previous math classes. I’ll start with a few short diagnostic problems to gauge their understanding, then focus on one key topic, like the unit circle or function transformations. I’ll go over examples using a shared online whiteboard or screen, and then have them try similar problems while I guide them. To wrap up, I’ll review the main points, have them explain a key concept back to me, and plan our focus for the next session.

Sun 3:45 PM - 5:00 PM UTCJun 29, 3:45 PM - 5:00 PM UTC

I plan on catching up any new members with the rest of the group, so that will include super brief introductions and a recap of our last meeting (shouldn't be over 15 mins). For the rest of our time, we will cover the first 3 sections of AP Pre-Calc, which are 1.1-1.3: Change in Tandem, Rates of Change, and Rates of Change in Linear and Quadratic Functions. Hope to see you there!
