About

What the heck is the Calvin cycle? 😖 How does DNA work? 🧬 What's natural selection really about? 🤔 And why do we care so much about biodiversity? 🌎 You have questions. I can help. In this series, I'll take the worst of high school and college biology and make it simple, one topic at a time. Check it out...

Hey! I'm Michael. I'm a biology major with a love for learning and a deep conviction that science—done right—can change the world. I enjoy inviting students to approach new concepts through frameworks of scientific thinking—to be curious, daring, and uninhibited in their discovery. To figure things out for themselves. I look forward to helping you do just that in our next session!

It's Just Water. What's the Big Deal? In this session, we'll meet the most important molecule in all of biology: water. We'll talk about what makes the chemical structure of water so unique. We'll also dive into all those weird things water can do that you might've never given a moment's thought. We'll be going to Mars, too—to check out a newly discovered water reservoir there that just might be hiding alien life.
