About

Hey, my name is Derek, and I'm super enthusiastic to help you all prepare for the August SAT! 
﻿
We're going to tackle the Reading section together, because I know it can be a real tough hurdle!!! My own experience with the SAT taught me valuable ways to improve, and I'm here to help you apply them.

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Hey everyone! I'm an upcoming senior enrolled in public high school. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano and finding new places to eat. I have taken classes such as AP Physics 1 & 2 and AP Precalculus. I am excited to help anyone struggling these or any other subjects. Feel free to reach out if you need help! Schoolhouse is a place where, as a community, students are able to come together and help each other out--I believe joining Schoolhouse is an excellent opportunity for me to share/extend my knowledge to others and grow as part of a supportive community.

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.
