About
This course will cover 8th-grade math (as laid out by Khan) unit by unit and help you to understand everything you will need to know! You can join in at any sessions as they all cover different units and topics! List of Sessions:
Unit 1: Numbers and Operations (Will be split up into two lessons).
Unit 2: Solving Equations with 1 unknown
Unit 3: Linear Equations and Functions (Might split into two sessions)
Unit 4: Systems of Equations
Unit 5: Geometry
Unit 6: Geometric Transformations
Unit 7: Data and Modeling
In total, we will have 9 or 10 sessions, covering all of 8th-grade math!

Hello Everyone! In this first session, we will cover half of Unit 1 of 8th-grade math, focusing on Unit 1: Numbers and Operations, on Khan Academy. This session is going to be broken into two, because this unit has a large amount of content! In this session, we will cover converting fractions into repeating decimals, converting repeating decimals into fractions, cubic roots, and finding the roots of fractions and decimals.
The session will begin with a presentation with some problems we will work together on, and then after that, we will do some more problems on Khan in the areas you guys are uncertain in!

Hello again! In this second session, we will cover the second half of Unit 1 of 8th-grade math, focusing on Unit 1: Numbers and Operations, on Khan Academy. In this session, we will go over comparing irrational numbers, exponents with integer and fractional bases, exponential properties, negative exponents, and scientific notation
The session will begin with a presentation with some problems we will work together on, and then after that, we will do some more problems on Khan in the areas you guys are uncertain in! If we have time, we'll do the Unit 1 unit test together to make sure we can apply what we have learned! :)
