About

Receiving a 1550+ on the SAT, I tutor on schoolhouse in order to teach students strategies that I employed on the SAT myself along with offering test-taking tips to accelerate their progress and development. I will assist students with direct hands-on tutoring sessions while using several official SAT preparation resources, such as Khan Academy, the SAT Question Bank, and Bluebook practice exams that are free to use. This session is fit for anyone who is preparing/studying for the SAT, regardless of the experience they have with the SAT beforehand. I have a background of tutoring individuals of all score ranges and I do my best to cater my sessions to goals that are decided through communicating with my students, which guarantees proper coverage on all aspects of the SAT. In conjunction with these sentiments, these sessions are notably smaller in order to facilitate individualized attention, a key component I capitalize on to help increase your score and confidence. After my session, I can guarantee a score increase of 150+ points on the SAT given completion of homework and active dedication/cooperation in most, if not all, sessions.

SAT Reading & Writing

Mon 10:00 PM - 11:30 PM UTCMay 26, 10:00 PM - 11:30 PM UTC

This session will be reading and writing based. We will start with an introduction as well as some Icebreakers to begin our formal test-taking journeys. Then, we will experiment with a couple problems from the Craft and Text Structure section on the SAT to help facilitate an environment ready for learning. Additionally, I will have students do some problems on their own and walk them through steps they may have trouble with or offer ways they can potentially find shortcuts on the section as a whole, along with teaching them the conceptual underpinnings of the question beforehand.

During this session, we will run through a mock SAT practice exam as a diagnostic. I will keep notes on what subjects my students are struggling with the most and will give general feedback/tips that can aid speed and efficiency. Then, I will run through tutorials and walkthroughs on these sections and tackle medium/hard problems with my students. The duration of this session is notably higher, which is to be expected as we will be taking a mock test. Students should download the Bluebook app and potentially update their device prior to attending to ensure no hiccups during the session.
