Hello! I'm a high school student from the US, here to help with SAT Prep and (possibly) SHSAT prep (but I'll have to figure out a curriculum for that first, and do let me know if ya'll are interested in that)! I love to tutor because I get the opportunity to create a supportive learning environment, learn how to better break down literary analysis strategies, and share my test taking habits. In my free time, I'm enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles, reading history books, and taking walks.

What you'll do

Learn the purpose and the must-dos of the personal statement

Learn and practice strategies for picking a prompt, brainstorming, drafting, and revising your writing

Understand the role of supplemental questions and strategies for organizing your questions and responses

Work alongside other students who are also preparing to apply to college

Schedule

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please do not miss more than one session over the four weeks, as that will negatively affect your learning and may also take up a spot from another learner who could have attended every session.

If you reach two unexcused absences, your tutor may remove you from this series.

Note from Schoolhouse: This series has sessions with required attendance. If you need to miss a required session, submit an absence using the "Submit Excused Absence" button on the series page. Multiple unexcused absences may lead to a suspension of your Schoolhouse account.

If you plan to attend, message me through Schoolhouse messages (a group chat was automatically created for this series). That way, I can adjust this description and map out the timing if more than one learner wants to attend.
