About

🎯 Want to write essays that actually stand out?

Join our Lesson Hub where we don’t just teach you to write — we show you how to think like a top scorer. 💡

We’ll break down the big ideas — voice, perspectives, genre, context, representations, attitudes, ideologies — and show you how they actually work in essays. Because great writing isn’t just about grammar or quotes… it’s about understanding how authors use their world to shape their words.

📚 Texts are shaped by the author’s beliefs and the time they lived in — and once you get that, your writing gets powerful.

Whether you want to impress your teacher, ace your final exam, or just finally get what English is all about — this is where you start.

🔥 Come for the clarity. Stay for the confidence.

P.S: I'm not here to fix grammar issues here for the substance and structure in your text.

Hi ya, you can call me Emmy or Emma whatever floats your boat. I'm an Aussie high-school student in her final years (or tears, depending on the day), living the cycle of study, snack, sleep, repeat. My subjects? ATAR English, Physics, Spec, Methods, and Chem—plenty to keep me busy! When I’m not studying, I enjoy reading essays and helping out with anything that comes my way. Outside of school, I enjoy playing Tennis, watching Netflix, and procrastinating. HAHA

Topic: How Does Context Shape Everything?
In our very first session, we’ll explore the idea that texts are never created in isolation — they’re shaped by the world around them. Students will be introduced to the concept of context and how it influences everything from tone and character to theme and message. Through games, discussion, and examples, students will build their critical vocabulary and learn how to spot the impact of context in different texts. We’ll finish the lesson by practising a short piece of writing that applies what we’ve learned.

Lesson Breakdown:
8 Minutes – Vocab Tic-Tac-Toe:
A fast-paced, interactive game to introduce and reinforce key vocabulary for strong analytical writing.
5–7 Minutes – Introductions:
A quick and friendly round of intros to set the tone for a collaborative, engaging learning environment.
35 Minutes – Context Deep Dive (Presentation + Group Example):
A guided PowerPoint session unpacking what context is, why it matters, and how it influences texts. Includes a collaborative group example to demonstrate how context shapes meaning.
10 Minutes – Concept Activity:
A short, interactive task where students apply their understanding of context to new examples.
20 Minutes – Paragraph Writing Task:
Students write a short analytical paragraph using the day’s key vocabulary and concepts, focusing on how context shapes a chosen idea or text.
