I’m a top SAT scorer, coached national-level debaters, and have helped students who used to dread the writing section walk into test day knowing exactly what to expect. I don’t believe in tricks or shortcuts. I’ll teach you how the test actually works—what the SAT really wants from you on punctuation, transitions, wordiness, tone, and sentence structure.

Hey! I’m Hope—a top SAT scorer, national debate champion, and someone who’s completely obsessed with breaking the SAT Reading & Writing section down to a science. I don’t just teach you tricks—I teach you how the SAT thinks, how to see through its patterns, and how to take control of the test instead of letting it control you. I’ve coached students who were terrified of the verbal section into 700+ scorers, and I’ll show you exactly how to approach every passage, every question type, and every grammar rule like a pro. I also tutor for a local after-school nonprofit and coach competitive debate, where my students have gone on to dominate national tournaments and become national champions. ✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Consistency matters, especially with a skill-based test like the SAT. To make sure everyone gets the most out of this series:

⚫ Please attend all sessions unless you’re sick or have a genuine conflict. Each session builds on the last but I will provide any materials used in the sessions to students who have missed.

⚫ If you know you’ll miss a session, just let me know in advance—I totally understand that life happens.

⚫ If you miss three sessions without notice, I may withdraw you to open up space for another student who can commit to the full series. If you let me know your absence, it's no worries!

⚫ Come on time and ready to focus. Even if you feel unsure, showing up and asking questions is how you improve—and I’m here to help you do exactly that.

In Session 2, we’ll tackle verbs—the sneaky kind the SAT loves to twist. You’ll learn how to spot tense shifts, fix agreement errors, and choose the right verb with total confidence.

In Session 3, we’ll zoom out and focus on the SAT’s trickiest grammar and style questions—the ones that test how ideas fit together. You’ll learn how to strengthen clarity, improve flow, and make every sentence sound like it belongs.
