About

In this 10-session online basic biology course, we’ll cover the core topics of biology, such as cell structure, genetics, evolution, and human anatomy. Each session will be interactive, featuring activities like labeling diagrams, exploring models, and discussing real-world examples. Students will have opportunities to engage through online activities and complete homework assignments to deepen their understanding of biology.

In our final session, we’ll review all the concepts we’ve covered. We’ll also talk about how biology connects to real-world situations, from the food we eat to the medicines we use. You’ll share what you found most interesting, and we’ll wrap up with a fun quiz!
Microorganisms and Disease
Topics: Bacteria, viruses, and the immune system
What are microorganisms, and how do they affect our health? In this session, we’ll explore bacteria, viruses, and fungi, and how they can cause disease. You’ll also learn how the immune system defends us and the role of vaccines in protecting our health.
