About

Hi!  My name is Finn, I’m a junior, and I’m excited to help you all prepare for the SAT!
﻿
This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Math. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please let me know ahead of time.

Hi, I'm Finn! I'm a senior in high school this year. I've taken a lot of math at the high school and college levels, including Prealgebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus AB and BC, Multivariable Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and History of Mathematics. This year, Real Analysis, Abstract Algebra, and Differential Geometry are on the menu. I'm also a chemistry nerd, I've taken General and AP Chemistry and currently am a tutor and Teaching Assistant at my school for chemistry. I'm a member of National Honor Society and captain of my varsity soccer team, and in my free time I run Ping Pong Club as a co-president and tutor on Schoolhouse as an SAT Bootcamp tutor certified for both Math and R&W. If you need help deciding which math class to take or if a math class is worth it to take in high school, let me know! I'd be more than happy to help you decide :)

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

We'll start with an orientation to get to know each other. Then, we will work through a shortened practice exam and review questions you'd like to go over. To wrap up the session, we'll go over some testing tips.

We'll begin with group practice of two Focus Skills in the Algebra Domain. Then, we will work through a shortened practice exam and review questions you'd like to go over.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You'll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will review questions you'd like to go over and end with group practice of two Focus Skills in the Geometry & Trigonometry Domain.
