About

About:
Welcome to the Mathematica, a featured competition in Schoolhouse Nexus to celebrate Schoolhouse’s 5th Anniversary! This event is designed to test participants’ knowledge of mathematics while also evaluating key skills such as critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving. Participants will compete in a structured, multi-round format, with increasing difficulty and eliminations at each stage.

Event Heads: Chelsea T, Nathália M

Welcome all math nerds and geeks to Schoolhouse’s 5th anniversary event!

In celebration of a grand 5 years of free exchange of knowledge on Schoolhouse, we will be hosting a Mathematica celebration/competition. This is your opportunity to think like the great Archimedes or Pythagoras with a bunch of other fellow geeks!

Some general outlines before we begin: this is a friendly competition, so don’t feel discouraged if you are eliminated. However, cheating is not allowed! So, no, Wolfram Mathematica is not allowed.

As for a general outline of how this event shall run, there will be a total of 6 rounds, and in each round, we will eliminate some participants until we are left with 1 winner with the award of bragging rights! This competition also does not test on advanced subjects, so no integration questions, just to make it fair for all age categories and will instead incorporate basic to slightly advanced math as well as different forms of mathematical reasoning.

I hope that you all have fun with this competition, and may the mathematical odds ever be in your favour!

Want to join as a participant or an audience member? Sign up now and be part of the celebration! We look forward to seeing you there!
