About

Welcome to the Schoolhouse Nexus, the official commemoration of Schoolhouse's 5th anniversary!

That's right—Schoolhouse is reaching a huge milestone; 5 years since its initial inception. To commemorate this, as well as to celebrate our community of diverse learners and tutors, take part in the Schoolhouse Nexus!

What is the Schoolhouse Nexus?

Nexus is defined as "a connection or series of connections linking two or more things". At Schoolhouse.world, through its extensive subworld offerings, knowledge is ever present and connects us members of the community together. To celebrate this milestone, we are hosting an all-platform competition event that showcases the best of our community. Spanning 7 subjects, this event is designed to challenge and test participants not only on their knowledge but also on their communication, research, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Below are the different events:
  1. TED Talk
  2. Nova (Physics)
  3. Cellula (Biology)
  4. Elementa (Chemistry)
  5. Mathematica (Maths)
  6. Historia (History)
  7. Lit Mania (Literature)
Each competition will have 4-7 rounds (depending on the specific contest) quizzing different aspects of the general category.

How to Participate:
1. Register for the Main Series to join the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
2. Fill out the
Registration Form if you wish to participate.
3. Get assigned to your event on the official event Coda.
4. Register for your specific event's series.
5. Prepare and participate in your event!

For more information, please take a look at the official Coda doc for Schoolhouse Nexus: https://coda.io/@anshu-p/schoolhouse-nexus

For any queries, please reach out to the Head Organizers - Anshu P, Chloe C, Rahul S, Anagh S.

Participants who attend 2-3 sessions or rounds will receive a certificate of participation. Winners of each category will be announced at the closing ceremony, and will receive official Schoolhouse merchandise!

Whether you’re competing or cheering on participants, this event is one you won’t want to miss. Join us in making this birthday unforgettable!

Hey there, it's Anshu! I'm a curious person who loves to learn, explore, and research. Physics and Mathematics are my favourite subjects, and I could talk about them for hours. When I'm not busy unravelling the mysteries of the universe or diving deep into the mind-boggling world of physics theories and equations, you can find me hacking (don't worry, always ethically 😉), coding and losing myself in the pages of a great book. And if that's not enough, you might catch me debating in exhilarating MUNs! Looking forward to seeing you in my sessions!

I'm a recent IB graduate from Singapore and I'm excited to be a tutor here on Schoolhouse.world! In my free time, I like playing tennis and board games. I speak 3 languages (English, Hindi & Spanish) but am always looking to learn more. On SHW, I'm a current moderator of the Chemistry subworld as well as an SAT Bootcamp Guide and Coach. I mainly tutor these subjects, too, but also like helping out in other topics, such as calculus.
