✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Active Participation:

Active participation is essential for the success of the course. Students are expected to engage in live virtual sessions (if applicable), contribute to asynchronous course activities, and participate in blog-related tasks and discussions.

Participation includes joining live sessions, engaging in group work, providing feedback on blog content, and meeting deadlines for blog development.

Attendance Expectations:

Students are expected to participate in all scheduled live sessions (if held) and complete all required asynchronous activities, such as blog creation, editing, and collaboration with group members.

If a student is unable to attend a live session or participate in activities, they must notify the instructor at least 24 hours in advance via email or the course platform. Absences: Excused Absences: Absences will be excused for valid reasons such as illness or emergencies. Students must notify the instructor as soon as possible and provide any necessary documentation (e.g., doctor’s note) if applicable. Unexcused Absences: Students are expected to attend all live sessions and participate in the online components of the course. Non-participation without prior notification may hinder team progress and collaboration. Make-Up for Missed Work: If a student misses a live session or falls behind on asynchronous activities, they are responsible for catching up. This might include reviewing recorded sessions (if available) or contributing to blog tasks and group collaboration. Students are encouraged to communicate with their group members and the instructor if they are behind, so they can stay on track with the blog project. Group Collaboration & Deadlines: Group work is an essential part of this course, and consistent participation is crucial to meeting deadlines and ensuring the blog continues to progress. Students should maintain communication with their group members, especially if they miss live sessions or deadlines. It’s important to keep the team informed and contribute as much as possible to blog-related tasks. Attendance Tracking: Attendance will be monitored through participation in live sessions, engagement with course materials, and contributions to blog content and group tasks. The instructor will track engagement and follow up with students who may be falling behind or disengaged from the course. Ongoing Communication: If any challenges or obstacles arise that may affect participation, students are encouraged to reach out to the instructor as early as possible. Open communication will help to ensure that any issues are addressed promptly and that students stay on track with their learning.
