About

Hello, my name is Makenna and I’m very excited to help everyone with the reading and writing section on the SAT! In each session, we will go over a key concept, do some practice problems together, and go over anything else you need help with. This is a 4-week, 8-session series with a small group of learners, so it will be interactive and engaging! You will take practice tests during the sessions, review them, and practice previous questions seen on the SAT.

Hello everyone! I'm a high school junior from Florida, and I'm so excited to help fellow students prepare for the SAT! I love animals, martial arts, video games, and hanging out with friends.

Review core concepts and test-taking strategies, with a peer tutor who excelled on the SAT.

Practice and review official full-length SAT® practice tests, including one Bluebook test.

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

We'll start with an orientation to get to know each other. Then, we will work through a shortened practice exam and review questions you'd like to go over. To wrap up the session, we'll go over some testing tips.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You'll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will review questions you'd like to go over and end with group practice of a Focus Skill in the Standard English Conventions Domain.
