About

There are only 15 slots available for each version of this series, so register quickly! To make sure the series can be hosted, we need at least 5 learners registered by the start date.

This six-week series is perfect for our narrative writers of all levels, whether aspiring or professional.

Through the power of the Narrative Arc, we'll learn how we can shape stories to give the reader choice. And for what could be the first time ever, we'll have the option to use the second perspective in our writing.

Make sure to come prepared with access to Google services such as Google Docs and Google Slides, as well as access to Schoolhouse Assessments (built in). That's all you need!

This series serves as the first part to the Creative Writing Sequence I will be hosting. There will be two possible paths, and several available courses.

Please request make-up sessions through this form at least 24-hours in advance. Sessions will be hosted with 1 or more learners, so request as needed.

Note: This series will be fast paced. My availability is really limited, so in order to finish within the ten week margin, if I am unable to host both days, or you are forced to miss both weekly sessions, slides and a review activity will be made available in the assessments folder for your convenience! 🙂

Extra Note: If you've already completed the series, I recommend that you still register again. The main group will be going further than the last times this has been hosted, and there will be both extra enrichment opportunities, and the chance to "teach the group."

Additionally, if you've completed the series priorly, you're welcome to apply as a co-host! I'd love to have you.

📏 Session Length: Estimate around 6 sessions and up to 4 office hour sessions within a span of 10 weeks. Dates and times are tentative.

I'M BACK!!! Hello! My name is Amanda. I am a freshman student from Virginia. I specialize in essay writing here on Schoolhouse, as well as the development of creative narratives. Beyond reading and writing, I'm a creative writer and I've won a Scholastic Writing Regional Silver Key award in my first year submitting. I'm also an editor for our school's award winning student literary magazine, and a staff writer for the newspaper. Additionally, I enjoy expressing myself through content creation and blogging. A few other clubs I participate in currently include, Black Student Union, Debate, Mock Trial, and others! I can't wait to get to know you. ✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Please try to attend as many sessions as possible. If you just want access to the material and can't attend, that's totally fine too.

I appreciate it when learners let me know of absences in advance, but it's not required.

I just ask that you catch yourself either through scheduling office hours, or going through content individually, before coming to a session. It makes everything smoother for everyone!⭐
