About

Hello, my name is Nikolas. I've always loved math and STEM and have taken advanced courses in them at my school. I'm super excited to be helping tutor you all for the SAT! 
﻿
This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Math. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can!

About Me 👋 I am a New York City high school student who studied for the SAT and achieved a 1530, including a perfect 800 in Math. Through self-discipline and strategic practice, I significantly improved my score from a 1420 when I first took it. I understand the challenges of self-studying and have developed efficient methods to tackle them. 📖✨ As an IB student, I take HL Math, Econ, and Comp Sci, balancing a demanding course load while staying focused on academic excellency. 📚 Fun facts ⚽️ I love playing soccer, basketball, and tennis, and I have a dog called McCoy! To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

We'll start with an orientation to get to know each other. Then, we will work through a shortened practice exam and review questions you'd like to go over. To wrap up the session, we'll go over some testing tips.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You'll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will review questions you'd like to go over and end with group practice of two Focus Skills in the Geometry & Trigonometry Domain.
