About

Hi, my name is Christine, and I'm really excited to help you solidify your knowledge, learn new concepts, and become more confident in preparation for the SAT! I know that the Reading and Writing section can be difficult, but I am hoping to explain the solutions as clearly as possible and give useful tips to solving the questions. I will aim to provide a lot of practice problems and answer questions about confusing concepts in order for you to understand how you should best go about completing this section!

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in both Reading and Writing & Language. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You’ll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it’s a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can’t have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

I'm a high school student from California. I enjoy participating in speech and Public Forum debate, writing/editing for my school newspaper, and peer tutoring students in math. I love to go snowboarding in the winter, do arts and crafts, and bake desserts. I am joining Schoolhouse because I hope to help students build their confidence in solving problems and develop their understanding of difficult concepts, all the while building meaningful relationships as a mentor. I hope to be a resource and person of support to students who want to expand their knowledge and skills with test-taking. I also hope to build my own skills as a tutor, working to further develop my communication skills, ability to explain concepts in various ways, and efforts to cater to the learning needs of each student.

What you'll do

Review core concepts and test-taking strategies, with a peer tutor who excelled on the SAT.

Practice and review official full-length SAT® practice tests, including one Bluebook test.

Get personalized support with the most challenging questions and concepts.
