About

Hey, I'm Alexa, and I'm a high schooler looking to help with anything I can. I hope my experience in reading and writing can help you out!

This session will cover general test-taking strategies for the SAT, literary devices, and "writers' tools" recognition. You will likely need a pencil and paper for this session. Basic knowledge of English grammar and literary devices is recommended.

Writers' tools and literary devices are useful categories of information for any level of reading comprehension. Learning or reviewing how to recognize patterns like alliteration, sentence structures, similies, and main ideas are core ideas of writers' tools and literary devices and are also essential for taking the SAT. We will also go over test taking strategies for how to take the SAT in general and focus on the three types of reading and writing questions in-depth: reading, rules and writing, and rhetorical.
