About

This course provides an in-depth exploration of Jamaican history from the pre-colonial era to the present day. Students will engage with key themes such as the indigenous Taino culture, European colonization, the impact of slavery, the struggle for independence, and the development of modern Jamaica. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and interactive activities, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the historical forces that have shaped Jamaica.
