About

I will review AP CS concepts from units 1-5, and answer any questions you might have about AP CS or Java. The concepts we will review include primitive types, using objects, boolean types and if/else statements, iteration (for/while loops), and writing classes. This session is meant for students who are currently enrolled in AP Computer science. No other prior programming knowledge is needed. Following along with a code editor and/or taking notes is recommended, but not required. I recommend a pen and paper or some alternative for working out certain types of problems.

NOTE: I'm currently testing the waters with tutoring AP CS, and I may turn this into a full series that goes in-depth. If you enjoy this session, please look out for that! :D

About the Tutor

Hello World! I'm Mikaela. I'm a high school junior who loves to learn from others and teach online, which is something that I'm improving at. I'm fascinated in computer science, math, and physics, and I am a tutor in the former ATM. I'm an advocate for learning for the sake of learning, and I think everyone should do everything they can to satisfy their fascination for the world and the universe. I'm planning on tutoring algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, and Calculus once I improve my mastery over the subjects. Sal Khan is a huge inspiration for me, and I'm super excited to participate in this amazing community. My current goal for my education is to attend MIT, but I have a long way to go before I reach that point, and I'm enjoying every second of the journey :).
