About

New learners are always welcome!!

In this series, there is one session every other single day for a whole year!

How it works:
We go over the pronunciation, definition, synonyms and antonyms, origin, (and maybe some fun facts), and how to use the word in a sentence.
There is always a super fun Kahoot about the word.

Then we have idiom of the day where we introduce a new idiom, its meaning, and how it's used in a sentence.

Then, at the end, we have two quotes of the day! They may be inspirational, or funny, or both!

I hope to see you there! These sessions are perfect for expanding your vocabulary.

Changes from the original series:
  • Sessions will be hosted every other day.
  • Learners who misbehave in any way that slightly defers the Schoolhouse policy will be removed.
  • Our original host will not be involved in this series.

Hello! My name is Amanda. I am a freshman student from Virginia. I specialize in essay writing here on Schoolhouse, as well as the development of creative narratives. I'm also introducing new topics in enrichment! My favorite books include mysteries, such as those by Agatha Christie, and dystopia novels like Scythe, Shatter Me, and Divergent. I have a wide taste, so DM me if you need/have book suggestions or need writing help! Beyond reading, I'm a creative writer and I've won a Scholastic Writing Regional Silver Key award in my first year submitting. I also enjoy expressing myself through content creation and blogging. I love participating in school clubs, and I'm a member of Black Student Union, Debate, Key Club, Mock Trial, our literary magazine, and a volunteer club associated with Chick-fil-A!

Hello everyone, Welcome to my profile! My name is Aayan and I'm currently homeschooling and preparing for my A-level exams. I plan to appear for SAT this year. I aspire to walk the hallowed halls of an Ivy League University, a place where my future can truly blossom and where my ambitions can flourish. I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence. Hello! I am a high school freshman from Texas and I attend a public high school (Go Eagles! 💚). I signed up for Schoolhouse mainly to tutor in Pre Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Reading & Writing, and History. I am tutoring for volunteer hours at my school. I love reading and watching TV. If you have any questions, feel free to message me or attend one of my sessions and I will be happy to help! 👋Note: As school is approaching, I do need to focus on my studies, so I will only be on SHW for about 30-60 minutes a week. I should be free after Christmas break starts though, 12/23/24. 🎄
