About

Hi everyone! I’m Rayyan, and I’m really excited to be your tutor for the English portion of the SAT. I know that this section can be quite challenging for many, myself included, but I believe that with practice and a focus on pattern recognition, we can tackle it together. I’m here to help you understand the material and build your confidence, so let’s get started on this journey!

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You'll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it's a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can't have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

I just graduated from highschool in Pakistan recently and went on to take a gapyear. My hobbies are bit all over the place, but to tell you my 4 C's, coding, cats, cars and calisthenics. I'm willing to help people get a better score on the SAT, and give advice I would've wanted from someone when I gave mine.

What you'll do

Review core concepts and test-taking strategies, with a peer tutor who excelled on the SAT.

Practice and review official full-length SAT® practice tests, including one Bluebook test.

Get personalized support with the most challenging questions and concepts.

Please do not miss more than one session over the four weeks, as that will negatively affect your learning and may also take up a spot from another learner who could have attended every session.

If you reach two unexcused absences, your tutor may remove you from this series.

Note from Schoolhouse: This series has sessions with required attendance. If you need to miss a required session, submit an absence using the "Submit Excused Absence" button on the series page. Multiple unexcused absences may lead to a suspension of your Schoolhouse account.

You'll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will review questions you'd like to go over and end with group practice of a Focus Skill in the Standard English Conventions Domain.
