About

This is the speech part of "Speech and Debate." An Extemporaneous Speech is where you only have 30 minutes to research, write, and memorize a 7 minute speech based on current affairs.

In this series my goal is to convert a complete beginner into someone who can write an entire 7 minute speech in 30 minutes and can work towards memorizing it in that time too!

Throughout this session, I will go over the basic structure of an Extemp speech, how substructure plays in, and how to research and memorize effectively. We will do several drills too!

*No prior experience required! Just bring a paper, pen, and preferably a laptop so that you can research!*

Varsity member of my school's 'Speech and Debate' team

Please do not miss more than 2 sessions since they will almost always build off of each other. Be sure to message me prior if you can't make it and we can schedule a makeup session!
