About

Hey everyone! Since there are so many series that have already been posted regarding learning AP Chemistry in a short period of time, this series will serve as a review of AP Chemistry content that you will have already learned in class. As such, it will be paced based on the topics taught as the school year progresses. This series will start on Friday, August 23 and go until around the end of May; sessions will occur once a week for 1 hour each. Make sure to bring paper and a writing utensil. Also, if you know of any people who would like this session, let me know and I can refer this series to them!

Expect periodic quizzes and tests that are designed to help me make sure you understand the content we have discussed in prior sessions.

I am really looking forward to meeting each of you and starting your AP Chemistry journey!

P.S. You will not see every session made; this is because the session description will be based on what we decide it to be in class.

✋ ATTENDANCE POLICY

Since this series is going to be a review of content you have learned, if you feel you are very confident over the topics you learned in class, you can skip the session. I will be posting descriptions of the topics we will be reviewing before every session, so you can use that as a reference if you would like to attend or not.

About the Tutor

I am a junior from Indiana. I love to tutor anyone with all levels of math, chemistry and biology. My end goal is to acquire a job utilizing my knowledge of machine learning in the drug discovery process (bachelors in chemical and biomolecular engineering, masters in chemistry, Ph.D is undecided). At the moment I am preparing for the US National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO) and am taking classes in applying artificial intelligence (AI) to drug discovery. Classes completed/taking: Freshman: AP Calculus AB (self-study), AP World History, tested out of Chemistry. Sophomore: AP Chemistry, AP Calculus BC, AP US History and AP Computer Science A. Junior: AP Biology, AP Physics, AP Literature and AP US Government. In my extra time, I love to do Peloton (strength training, cycling and rowing), play tennis and do road biking.

AP Chemistry

In this session, we will start to get to know each other through introductions. I will discuss the overall structure for our sessions. Keep in mind that this structure is tentative, and it will change based on your classes' pacing over the content. We will then begin with topics 1.1 and 1.2 from the AP Chemistry curriculum.
