SESSION 1
Quadratic functions & equations
Quadratic functions & equations
Mon 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTCJul 29, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTC
Quadratic equations show up everywhere in higher level math. In this session, we will review quadratics and consider a variety of challenging real world applications, ranging from optimization to projectile motion.

SESSION 2
Systems of equations
Systems of equations
Thu 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTCAug 1, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTC
Systems of equations problems are a must-know for real world STEM applications and higher level mathematics -- algebra I systems provide the foundations of more complex systems that one considers later on. During this session, we will cover a short review of systems of equation theory and spend most of our time one engaging practice/challenge problems to practice applying these skills.

SESSION 3
Exponential growth & decay
Exponential growth & decay
Fri 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTCAug 2, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTC
Have you ever wondered how people pick between different financial plans with differing interest rates? What about how scientists model the growth of bacteria? This session will focus on a variety of practice problems applying exponential functions to real world situations.

SESSION 4
Absolute value & piecewise functions
Absolute value & piecewise functions
Sat 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTCAug 3, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTC
Absolute value functions are often underrated in their importance, as are piecewise functions. During this session, a focus on problem solving around piecewise and absolute value functions will let us consider where they might be applied in real world projects.

General Algebra I Q&A
General Algebra I Q&A
Sun 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTCAug 4, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM UTC
During this final session, I will answer any questions about the material covered during this series. We will consider a few miscellaneous problems as well as review those from sessions 1 through 4.
