About

Greetings there! My name is Owen and I will be your personal SAT reading and writing tutor. As someone who has a strong passion for language arts, I can guarantee an engaging and comprehensive tutoring experience that will cater to any of your specific needs and learning styles. Additionally, this course will not only prepare you academically for the SAT, but mentally as well, making sure you have the proper mindset needed to excel in the SAT.

This four-week tutoring series will help you prepare for your upcoming SAT in Reading & Writing. By the end of the series, you will have completed multiple practice tests and worked through a number of problems from previous SATs, helping you build confidence for your upcoming exam. You'll spend each session with me and a small group of other learners who are also working towards taking the SAT. Since it's a small group, you can expect sessions to be very interactive as you work together towards improving your SAT skills as much as you can! Note: Cameras should be on so we can all get to know each other! If you have a specific reason why you can't have your camera on, please notify me ahead of time.

Greetings there! I am a high school student with a great passion in academics and I am here to provide any support for students who are struggling with the SAT. Additionally, I hope to learn from other students and get a better understanding of the world around me. I enjoy writing, reading, playing saxophone, watching films, cooking, as well as drawing abstract art. I am glad to be a part of this community and look forward to my work with others.

To get the most out of this series and respect other learners, follow these attendance rules:

You can only miss one unexcused session over the four weeks. Missing more can impact your learning and may take a spot from another learner who wants to join.

Need to miss a session? Let your tutor know by using the "Submit excused absence" button on the series page. Then, catch up by using the Session Makeup Guide or attending a live make-up session.

Multiple unexcused absences? If you reach two unexcused absences, you may be removed from the series and your Schoolhouse account may be suspended.

We will go over some testing strategies for taking the digital SAT and you will have the opportunity to take a full practice test on the Bluebook platform.

You'll have some time to review and reflect on your results from the Bluebook practice exam. Then, we will review questions you'd like to go over and end with group practice of a Focus Skill in the Standard English Conventions Domain.
